painting-last one for at least a while

Post by djmom »

Ok, I am feeling wierd about keeping on posting these paintings. My daughter is getting faster and faster, so she is really cranking them out! So here is the most recent one, and maybe way later I will post some more. I don't want to be obnoxious. We are pretty sure she took the original "inspiration" photo on Peace Hill...this is a really large painting and I will be hanging it in the living room.

It has a little reflection from the flash, but you can get the drift...

Okay..wait a minute. I just put 2+2 together.

First of all, you are not being obnoxious. It's gorgeous!

Second of all...forget the texting *stuff* on the OT forum.

She's cranking out artwork like this and the last ones you posted. She's quite talented!

She is very talented! People would be willing to pay for this kind of stuff. Maybe after my honeymoon on STJ in 8 weeks I can have her paint my favorite picture?

Thanks guys and had to laugh Greenskeeper. You must think I am a raving lunatic about my off topic posts !

Bryan, who knows, maybe she could. I really don't know! You would definitely get a bargain as you would be her first customer!

I do think she might be able to get some fun money off this but you never know. I just hope she sticks to it for the pure enjoyment of it and a constructive way to relax. I think St. John has really inspired her which is so important-passion.

I think it's beautiful what she's doing. She's an excellent artist. I'd buy one.

One thing I always like to buy is note cards. We know someone in Cape May, NJ., a young girl who paints and prints them out on the cards and I buy them all the time.

You should really look into it.

Keep her work quiet and start a website. Time to make some money!! :D

Please keep posting.
They're even more interesting than people's STJ vacation photos, and you know we would never say we're tired of people posting those.
It's especially cool to see art inspired by a love for STJ because obviously that's something most of us here share.
My daughter, who is 20 months old, loves for me to pull up the donkey painting your daughter did.
She points to the screen and says, "Hehaw, hehaw".

Thanks everyone for the great advice.

Kathy, that is so sweet about your daughter. I can't wait to tell my daughter about that.

Don't stop posting - she has talent! I agree, it is fun to see St. John through the eyes of your little artist. And I would be in for buying one or some notecards as well. Proud Mom!

You guys should look into etsy, to sell your greeting cards or prints. It's really cheap and easy. If your daughter is over 13,she could probably figure the system out herself! I'd buy, too!

It is a beautiful painting; I'll love seeing her work as long as she is willing to share it here and you are willing to take the time to post it. Thanks to you both.

painting

LOVE IT!! Glad she's cranking 'em out too. That means she loves to paint. I have to squeeze them in when I have time. My TrvlJohn helped me make my own website to display some of my work. www.karenskuce.com I'm also willing to paint someone's fav St. John pic. Got all my art supplies packed and can't wait to paint on-island.
