This video is incredible. Given the size and strength of the octopus, personally I would have let him have my camera :shock:
Octopus are supposed to be very intelligent and curious creatures, but they are very strong and have a lot more leverage than we do underwater with their many arms. I am glad the guy didn't hurt it with his gun.

I am always scolding my photographer hubby to keep his distance from creatures when he is trying to get that "perfect shot". I am going to show him this video as "wifely advice".

I saw this earlier today! Totally fascinating. I love octopi & squid/cuttlefish so much that I can't eat calamari anymore.

I agree about the size of the octopus -- I think I might have let him have the camera!! :shock:
