Yes, which makes me feel even more foolish for getting one NOW (at 37!! Having had two kids!! And a good 30 lbs heavier than my high school years!!)

It's going on two months now, and I think it MAY be healed now. What a pain in the keyster :x

For what it's worth, Mrs. Pipanale had one (a belly ring) a few years back (pre-child). Then, about a year before our last trip to St John, she got a determined look in her eye. The look said: I'm getting myself in shape and getting myself re-pierced. She did it. It took forever and a week to heal though.

She's now wondering where to put her tattoos when she turns 40. She wants a petroglyph and a sea turtle.

I have 2 tattoos. When I bend over, it says MOM. Or, if I stand on my head, it says WOW.

That joke NEVER gets old. NEVER I tell you.

And...Landlocked...that's close, but not quite. Imagine if that model swiveled. She may just have to "settle" for that style.

One more fun tidbit...she had the first ring before pregnancy. It stayed there as the pregnancy got started. One night, she appeared in our bedroom with the needle-nose pliers and a grimace on her face.

"Get this thing out of me" I was told. Apparently, a stretching stomach and a belly ring don't get along well.

My daughter found this one. I'm not sure if you found that one yet.

Pipanale:

My husband has a tatoo of a sea turtle on his arm. He did it in just black and made it look kind-of like stone so it didn't look to girlish on him. It's very cool. When he gets home from work I'll have to make him let me take a pic for you. Tell you wife she doesn't have to wait until 40 - anytime is a good time for a tatoo!!
