VIOL Boat for the Minimal Regatta..?

Post by Sun4MySoul »

So..there are going to be a few Forumites in attendance at the Regatta this year. One has volunteered to paddle the boat and I think a couple of us can help with the building of one. But we'll definitely need some on-island help with the gathering of materials and use of tools, etc. Let's face it...all that isn't going to fit in anyone's carry on bag!

Is anyone interested in helping out?

And will Anthony give us permission to use the VIOL name? We should have a Name The Boat contest if this all comes to fruition...

Loria,

here is an article about it from last year (yes, we were there and it was fun!)

Sun, Ron is ready to row, we just need a boat but I agree, Ruth seems like she would be a very good alternate :)

We are getting there the 14th Sun, land at 3 something from Charlotte, NC. Probably be on the 5ish ferry and ready to drink. Build, hmmmmmm.

I am glad Ron is stepping up Nancy. My fat butt and man boobs would have sunk it. Sun asked Nicolle and she laughed her butt off.
Life begins where the land ends!

I will not build any boats.
I will not paddle any boats.
BUT, I might be able to help with the rounding up of tools and materials if there is a serious interest.
Here's the scoop about building the thing, also from last year:

I will be on hand to take photos. (Last year Nancy B's Ron did it because I had to work, but I won't count on him this year.)
I will also cheer and whistle with great enthusiasm,
Let me know.
