W'ere home!!!!!!!!!

Post by mindehankins »

Yay!!!! We're in our new home, and it's everything we hoped for. This house has great bones, in a great and friendly neighborhod (well,we'll test that, this weekend, when we bring my baby "Bella" to park beside the garage. We enjoy the hell out of camping in her, during festival season:

She's kind of old fashioned, a 61 Shasta Compact, but has good bones and a sweet soul....
Here's her new home. Hope others enjoy seeing her as much as we do!

Now I need to find a way to get back to St. John!!!

Congratulations Minde. Is that snow still there?

My brother was griping that he left 85 degrees in the Syracuse area to come to 70 degree Cape Cod over Easter.

Was he pulling my leg?

Conrats on the new home!

Your Bella is the cutest little camper. We have a close friend in the RV manufacturing business and he loves seeing the classics on the road and in use.

Minde,

How very exciting for you. Your new home is lovely.

We enjoy camping as well and have a 20ft.trailer. It is cozy for sure. Would love to know a couple of guys that could play the guitar around the campfire! Lucky you.

Minde,
What a very nice home in a nice neighborhood. Great buy!

Love "Bella". We had a pop-up for years when the kids were younger and used the heck out it in the mountains.

Enjoy!

Wishing you lots of happiness and lifelong memories in your new home Minde.

PS: I don't know anything about Western NY State. How far is that from NYC? Looks like the properties are rather large (well in comparison to Vancouver).

Thanks everybody. I'm such a nostalgic nutjob....just had to buy her when we found her. I camped in an old Shasta with my grandparents, way back when. I'm empathetic to those who think she's an aging eyesore, though. I'm hoping that our neighbors are the nostalgic types???
She's got lots of sisters out there, MahoJim....you have to look really hard to find one in decent condition, though.
The snow WAS all gone, here, but my camera is packed somewhere, so I can't take any pics of the green. Sorry, Toni, didn't mean to suggest that we've had anything less than the PERFECT Spring!
Oh, and we're about 300 miles from New York City, I think....about as far away as you can get within the state border, in a pretty small town.

Congratulations Minde - very exciting! Looks like a great house and a really super lot. It's a nice time of year to move in, when you can do some things in the garden and the neighbors are outside too. Have fun!
