Another Picture

Post by TrvlJohn »

After seeing DJMOM's artwork, I thought I would share a painting that TrvlKaren painted for me for Christmas.
For many years, we had a print of Starry Night on the the wall in the den.

She decided to paint "Starry Trunk" to take its place.
I think it is great. I can sit and look at the painting and dream of STJ whenever I want.

... not an art critic, but... I like Starry Trunk better than Starry Night! That is really fine!

Wow, Starry Night made me cry when I saw it at the MOMA but I gotta say Starry Trunk is really impressive. No wonders you can't stop looking at it.

LOVE it! Is that you on the beach? So clever (and really great too!)

Islandgirl: If your living room wall was in St. John, my wife would probably be happy to paint a mural on it...not sure you could convince her to come to Michigan.

Djmom: It is me on the beach. She painted a little bit while we were on the island last year, but it is a little difficult to get situated with all the "stuff" needed to paint with.

She is currently painting the sets for a local theatre groups production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella. It is keeping her busy.

She is very talented. I, on the other hand, cannot draw a stick figure, but I can fix her computer.
