Florence hotel for night before flight

Post by canucknyc »

We need to find a hotel in Florence, before we fly out the next morning. Our flight is around 11am or so, so I'm thinking there's no need to stay near the airport? Does anyone have hotel recommendations? (Would love to keep it under $200 for the night.)
Thanks!

Funny but true by I have never stayed in a hotel in Florence! (well I did but it was 20 years ago - some pensione by the station...).

This place is just reopening - it is a great location

Right about your max price though. There are a ton of other cheaper places - maybe one of the forum members who have been here in the last couple of years can recommend something? Terry, Waterguy, ihochman?

Venere has places starting at 5 euro a night! (if you find something there you can ask me about it - maybe I will be familiar with the area at least - )

Hey there,
We stayed at Hotel Goldonini. Wondeful B&B with a great hostess, Francesca. Rooms and bathroom were spacias with a great breakfast. Not far from the airport, but easier by cab than walking.

Thanks for the help! I think we're leaning towards Hotel Porta Faenza right now. Is this neighborhood good?
