My name is flip-flop and 2nd to my obsession with STJ I would probably say I have a facebook problem too ;-) Luckily, I just figure its better than alcohol or drugs so I am ok with it.

I don't do any games, but I do have it on the phone which kind of freaks casual FB-ers out because they think you are at home on the computer all the time updating statuses.

I especially love keeping up with people who otherwise would have fallen off the face of the earth and I have reconnected with many a friend who I lost. Hey when I graduated from college the email thing was relatively new.

I will also say it has helped me a lot when traveling. So many friends have been all over so its so easy and quick to get a good recommedation! Mr. Marcia & CA Girl totally hooked me up on a recent trip to San Francisco!

Its fun. I don't take it to seriously, but I definitely have moments where I think I NEED TO STEP AWAY. lol.

Good for you DJmom! I am fairly extroverted so it just adds another dimension to my social life which is a good thing. I could see how it could easily take over your life though if you aren't careful!

I think I know the deal with Farmville and most of those type of games. It isn't the game, it is that you get to accumulate things and spend money.

And no consequences. It is like "ooh, I got this (pink cow) or that... or I am going to completely fill my farm with sheep or pigs."

You also get to organize the stuff on your farm and essentially redecorate.

It is really stupid, I agree, but you get to feed these human urges.

Now... I don't want to hear a word about my mental issues. I know I have them. I have taken the first step :? I'm not dying to go back so that is a good thing.

However, the next new game, who knows....

Thank goodness, although I have what you could call some shopaholic tendencies, I don't do that at all in real life!
