Has anyone used a car seat lately....
from St. John Car Rental? We are debating whether or not to drag ours along for the 1 year old. We will have the jeep for a week and want something relatively safe and comfortable. Thanks for the info!

I will be curious to hear how the car seats are at different car rental agencies. I recently rented one from Christy's, http://www.christysofstjohn.com/ And it was in excellent condition. Very clean and "legal" (meaning, new, under no recalls, that sort of thing..I checked). If you do decide to get one from the car rental place, and it ends up not being so great, I would recommend contacting Christy's and getting one through them. How much are they charging now a days to check a car seat anyhow?
From what I gather on the Delta website, you can check a stroller and a child restraint device for free. Of course that could change in a moments notice.

Good to know that Delta will let you take those items for free. With the way they charge for everything...was wondering what the airlines were doing. Delta's prices are high for the places I visit, but they have always been better than most about what they have "cut out" to save on.
Does the car rental agency charge for the car seat? Curious to see how their prices compare to Christy's. I'm pretty sure she charges $60 for the week...but I rented a pack and play too and can't remember the charge for each of them. I thought their prices were fair and I was pretty happy to see that both of the items were in excellent condition.
