Overnight in San Juan
Cartegena, Columbia is the sister city to San Juan. Built at the same time by the Spaniards.surfnh wrote:....the closest thing to El Morro in North America is the walled city of Old Quebec. JF
Stayed at the Condado for a site visit and for the PR event that summer. Surfed La Ocho when it was breaking 18' - 20'. The first break was way out to the left of the rock.

We have stayed at the San Juan Marriott/Stellaris Casino once and twice at the Hilton Caribe - both have nice pool areas but not so great beaches. For one night, I would chose a smaller boutique place as the Water Club which has been on my "maybe next time" list for a while.

Another fort very nearby, Castillo de San Cristobal, is the largest fortification built by the Spanish in the New World and finished in 1783. A guardhouse there
