Bermuda - 9 Beaches - Ever been there?
My son and his wife are thinking about going to 9 Beaches Resort in Bermuda. Have any of you ever been there or know anything about it?
Thanks!

I've not stayed there but I have seen it and know a little about it. It's definitely much more casual than most of the other Bermuda properties, which is not a bad thing at all in my opinion. You don't need a jacket for their restaurants or anything like that. The accommodations vary from cabanas that jut out over the water (there are about 10 of those) to cabanas along the beach but not over the water, to more traditional double storied hotel room type. The sides of the cabanas are high-tech canvas--they are basically upscale tents with amenities.
The location is way out on the end of the island--I would estimate a 30 minute ride into Hamilton. Their beaches are kind of small, but since there are so many I would imagine they don't get too crowded. We didn't see many people when we drove our boat by, anyway. Cambridge Beaches is right next door and their beach is large (not sure if they could use it or not).
It is important that they know that the hotel is located next to a family cattle farm. Most of the time it's not noticable, but if the wind blows in a certain direction, you can smell manure.

It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.
