Hey everyone. I know there are quite of us here on the forum who have back problems. I just clicked on one of those text ads that Google puts on your Gmail page for a company that does laser spine procedures.
I was wondering if anyone has any factual or anecdotal experience with this. Here is the website address:

Hi Cid. When I had my back surgery, I don't even think that I had an option like that. I had a tumor on my spinal cord an I'm all wired up.
That's a great option if it would work for you instead of cutting into your back have having staples up and down it.
If you have a bad back, and I don't know what your problems are, make sure you see a neurosurgeon.

I have a degenerated disc in my lower back and bulging discs on either side of it. To make things a little worse I have facet degeneration and stenosis throughout my spine.
I've see two spine specialists, and a neurosurgeon. I've tried PT, the chiropractor and large amounts of narcotics. The most helpful thing I've had has been epidural steroid injections, but that seems to be less and less effective. I've recently had a relapse that has essentially put me back to feeling like day 1.
All the doctors, including the guy who did my EMG, have said that I will need a spinal fusion at some point. They also tell me that I'm too young to have that procedure. I'm 43. I realize that you lose a lot of range of motion etc....but, am I supposed to suffer in agony until I'm in my 60's? I can't imagine it.
The only up side to all of this is that I've had time to do a lot of research about spine problems and of course, a lot of time to hang out on the Forum. Hehehehehe......

Wow Cid, you sure have been through the ringer.
The back problems seems to run in my family. My Mother, both brothers, myself AND my daughter have had surgeries. I too have pain everyday, sometimes bad pain.
I guess the evolution of humans isn't good for the back. I just try to work out, exercise and stay off the pain meds.

I personally have never been to a NUCCA chiropractor but I've witnessed my Mom getting treated and seeing is believing. All the other care providers she visited and no relief for the pain. An absolutely mind-boggling improvement after one treatment. It's a controversial treatment up here but from what I witnessed I would recommend it to anyone who is in pain and can't find relief.
