Water taxi Question

Post by JJShaw »

We are going to be on a Cruise in Nov and bringing a cpl newbies with us. We are only in Port from 8-4 so it doesnt leave much time for us. I wondering if someone can suggest a water taxi or person that can pick us up at the ship and take us to Cruz bay? It would give us more time on STJ if I can get this arranged rather than taking a taxi to Red Hook or downtown. Thanks for any info.

Dohms water taxi 340-775-6501
Not sure if the cost is worth it and the boat ride can be long and rough, although their wave piercing hulls are fairly flat ride.
You could consider calling Nauti Nymph and having them have a powerboat and Captain do the same thing for you and you would have the boat all day.

We use Dohm's Water Taxi www.watertaxi-vi.com , but I'm pretty sure you have to take a taxi to the dock where they pick you up as they cannot pick up in Charlotte Amalie. They will arrange that taxi for you also - Christopher's - they will be waiting for you (at least they are from the airport!) They will take you to the dock near Red Hook, but it's not the ferry dock!! The boat ride is quick and easy - 15 minutes tops!! Cuts thru waves incredibly! We have used them 4 years in a row - wouldn't have it any other way!

If you are going to take a taxi to Dohms dock in Red Hook I would suggest you just take the ferry instead for $6 with only 4 people just for the day ,no luggage.
