Yes, she IS amazingly alert for less than 24 hours! She's going to be such a blessing...you can just tell.

something about her eyes remind me of my first daughter when she was born...boo hoo... :cry:

thank you all for your good wishes and a big thank you to minde for posting the pic for this techno challenged lady.

We can't get over how alert she is either, it's amazing. My daughter says she lays there looking all around, taking it all in. With 7 siblings, she's going to have to real sharp & on the ball !!

Now we have to figure how I can squeeze a vac day so can get down there for a wknd. Already put in for our STJ trip so days are used up. But will find a way.
No ticker anymore. Next vac will prob. be the Fl Keys.

Thank you lysac and greenskeeper. been off line all week,been very sick so didn't see your postings till today.

Just got off the "phone" w/Dakota,not too early to get her used to my voice so she'll know me when get down there. Still trying to work something out for a long wknd trip down. Maybe in March.
No ticker anymore. Next vac will prob. be the Fl Keys.
