Worried I made a mistake in my villa

Post by melmd »

So after reading some posts I am worried I may have chosen the wrong villa for our family. It sounds like it is more dated and lacking than I would have imgained. We are simple and do not need a very fancy place to stay, but it sounds like an uh ohh. If you have ever experinced this what did you do?

Thanks

What is the name of the villa - maybe someone here can help put your fears to rest.

Yes, I would check here and see what feedback you get..If you still get a bad feeling, does your rental company have other villas they could transfer your deposit, etc to? If not, you might just have to make the best of it and take it as a lesson..It may not be as bad as you are thinking..

I've had mediocre villas on STJ, but I gotta tell you: A bad villa on STJ is still a villa on STJ! It beats the heck out of a good hotel room in Ocean City, MD! You'veagotta-a-villa,baby! I'll bet what ever it is, you'll have a blast. Good luck!

I once had a villa booked with Destination St. John (DSJ), which I was able to view before my scheduled trip. After viewing it, I knew that I would not be happy there. DSJ actually let me view a few other villas and made the switch for me. They were wonderful to work with!!! Ali~

I have a similar story involving Catered To. Several years ago I rented a villa through them and while on-island staying at another villa, I previewed the villa that I rented through Catered To (for a later trip that year with our daughter and son-in-law). After walking through the villa I wasn't happy at all with the second bedroom and they accomodated us by switching us to a different villa that they represented. The second villa was more expensive but we were happy to pay the difference.
