My Pre-trip report

Post by Xislandgirl »

Less than 2 weeks and I am starting to get very excited and a little nervous. I lived on STJ for about 5 years and I was young(er) and single and a little wild. I am hoping that people will not remember the wild side.

I have my clothes set out on the bed in the spare room. I have to do the numerous pack and repack to be sure that I have enough but not too much.

White Wing is reserved for our Jost sail and they have all our passport numbers and info

Package of non sea salt snacks have been sent and received by Destination St John. ( one of our travelers is highly allergic)

Bacon, sausage, Chicken, and Filet's are vac packed and frozen.

Steamers (for Ruth) have been ordered and will be picked up on 4/12

Airport Parking reserved

Dropped one size, super close to losing another.

Drinking a little more than usual to get my tolerance back up.

Reservations for Chip's B-day dinner at Zozo's are made and cake has been ordered from Baked in the Sun

I am sure that I have done more, but I think I am in good shape. I am just getting over a cold and I just want to be there.

I am also looking for flights for August. Some old friends from the island are heading back for a week and I am going to try and join them!

Steamers! Are you kidding?????
Even if I did remember your wild side, that would be a pretty good bribe for me to forget it pretty quick.
Oh boy oh boy. Steamers, oh boy.
Buy lots of butter, yippee.

After reading the man thread, I think I just found some more space in Chip's bag. I told him if he goes commando all week, I can back another pair of shoes.

Down 1-2 sizes? You're going to have to post another picture before ya leave so we know what you look like! Good work!

Before my beard went all white I used trips to STJ as a reason to lose weight. At 44, I figure I'll never get back to the buff body I had at 28, so I quit stressing.

Cheers, RickG

Thanks Rick. We joined the gym and I have been there at least 3 times a week for a little over 2 months. We have always eaten healthy but never exercised. What a difference it makes. I started at a 14 and yesterday I tried on a size 8 dress and it was tight but close. It almost made me cry in the dressing room.
I will take a size 10 for now.

As for the gray? I have a wonderful stylist. I am a blonde if anyone asks
