Those dark chocolate brownies ARE better the 2nd day, arent they?jayseadee wrote: jmq's Ghiaradelli Brownies with Ghiaradelli Dark Chocolate square icing - these are awesome for boxed brownies!
(liked them better the next day(and the next) - and with ice-cream)
Havent tried em with ice cream yet - wait, I think there is a box in the cupboard, and I can pick up some ice cream on the way home from the gym...that way I can justify it, no?

Janet, how was the Blanchard's chowder? I've been looking at that recipe. I made their crusty mustard chicken topped with ceasar salad for dinner last night. It was really good, plus only took 15 minutes to make.
FlipFlop, WOW, what a spread! I want to come to your New Year's dinner next year!

It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.
Well, my presentation isn't exactly worthy of Gourmet Magazine, and my guava/rum sauce was a little runny (I shouldn't have re-heated it because it was nice & thick until I did that), but I have to say this was an extremely tasty dinner!
Reggae Pork (chop), Warm Cinnamon Apples (posted on this forum, but I don't remember who posted it) and potatoes au gratin (from a box).

By the way, Janet, a bowl of corn chowder sells for $15.00 at Blanchard's! http://www.blanchardsrestaurant.com/menus/menu.htm

Yikes - I think I paid half that for the whole pot! Of course, I didn't do any of the manual labor of shucking and de-cobbing corn.California Girl wrote: By the way, Janet, a bowl of corn chowder sells for $15.00 at Blanchard's! http://www.blanchardsrestaurant.com/menus/menu.htm
Your dish looks great!

I may have to give spaghetti squash another try. The first few times I tried it, I "needed" it to taste like spaghetti - which it doesn't. Maybe with lower expectations, I'll enjoy it.mbw1024 wrote:Spaghetti squash. It was a vegeterian meal for us. Turned out really nice.jayseadee wrote:Mary Beth - what are those mushrooms stuffed with? Looks like onion or shredded potato?
Find anything good in the Crate and Barrel catalogue?
Anyway the mushrooms look delish - and South Beach Phase 1 friendly (which is what I'm dealing with now
