Cathy made delicious quiche for breakfast this morning! What a treat. We went our separate ways today. Billy, Norm and Maureen went on a photo shoot around the island and the rest of us headed back to Trunk Bay. That was our first beach of the trip but we never snorkeled so we wanted to go back and do that.

The underwater trail is interesting. There were a nice variety of colorful fish and some beautiful fan coral. I saw another ray but only briefly as a bunch of cruise ship passengers saw it at the same time and commenced squealing and flopping around. All and all it was far to crowded but we’re glad we did it. The amateur snorkelers bear watching. We grabbed some rum punch and enjoyed that amazingly soft sand and the beautiful water and tried not to think about this being our last beach day. Do these guys look sad?

Back to the villa for some pool time. Late afternoon a few of us went to Connections to get checked in. Wandered around town a bit and did a last bit of shopping. Grabbed a margarita at JJ’s for the ride home.

One last sunset and drinks as a group.

The gazebo looked festive with the full moon

Gorilla and Pepper have to leave on the first ferry to start their trek back to Boise so they started packing. Five of us headed out for the Balcony for dinner. They were out of a few things but we enjoyed what we had - most notably the seared tuna and the shrimp and scallop risotto.

A note about the restaurants we went to - we found them all very accommodating to a group. When asked, we were either provided with separate checks or one check that was clearly written so it was easy to figure out. The Banana Deck even brought us a calculator with our check. We usually just add a tip and divide by the number at the table but some meals there was considerably more drinking by some members of the party (like me!) so we gave the non-drinkers/light drinkers a break.
One last trip up the hill to our beautiful villa. We sat under the gazebo and finished the wine. A lovely breeze blowing, no bugs (thank you bats!), full moon, a perfect last night.
