need villa recommendations on Coral Bay for April please...

Post by mcnmle »

My family is traveling to Coral Bay April 2 - 9, or 3 - 10. We prefer the Coral Bay side because it is on the quiet side. We need two bedrooms and prefer a pool. Thanks for any suggestions! MCNMLE

Pink Horses or Reef Madness are both great...

Bay House is available and we enjoyed our stay there. It's a value priced villa that has a nice setting and amenities.

Seabiscuit is next door. My favorite 2 bedroom is Reef Madness, but it is not open during your dates. Your right at the end of high season, so you'll be paying premium rates.

Stayed at Island Horizons last February. Great villa. Need 4 wheel drive due to the driveway (steep but not dangerous). 3 bedroom. Killer view.

We stayed in Sea Biscuit a couple of summers ago and really liked it. The pool is really great! Bay House is nice too but the pool is very small in comparison to Sea Biscuit. The porch on Bay House is very nice.

We love Moonswept villa. The drive up is very bumpy, but gorgeous views when you get there and a beautiful villa. Our kids love it.

Supposedly will be getting solar heat for their pool also!

Pm me if you have any questions about the villa.

We live in Charlotte also. Welcome to the forum!

I haven't checked the calendars for these houses but check out Apito http://www.vrbo.com/249514
CasaBueno http://www.vrbo.com/251116#inquireForm
SummerWind http://www.caribbeanvilla.com/summerwind/index.html
all great houses on Mamey Peak/Bordeaux Mtn.

We love this location as it's closer to the Northshore beaches than Coral Bay but just a short drive down to Coral Bay itself and not much further into Cruz Bay.

We stayed at Seabiscuit & Island Horizons and loved them both. SB has a little easier access, but unless I'm mistaken, the view wasn't that great.
IH was a bit cheaper, and with the views was our fave of the two.
Did you check out www.vrbo.com ?
Good luck, and always

If you don't have young children, look into Reef Madness. It's a beautiful house and I think the layout is great for groups that may want to be together and also have the option of their own space. The view is also fantastic and wonderful to wake up to!

What ages are the kids? I like to have rooms with interior access so the kids aren't too far removed from us. A couple years ago we were advised away from one villa because the bedrooms were in separate pods with the pool in between. (Great for couples; not so great with young kids.)

Some of the ones I found that have interior access to the bedrooms are:
Fun and Contentment
Monkey No Climb (no pool but a hot tub)
Rhumb Runners
Caneel Trailside Cottage (not Coral Bay)
Bay House
Bo Atabey

(I haven't seen any of these in person.)

windspree.com manages a number of Coral Bay properties.

How about Into the Mystic? Saw it on HGTV House Hunters Int'l and it looked great. The lower level poolside second bedroom has a nice sitting area with kitchenette. I think here's a hot tub and the pool is saline rather than chlorine.

Check out Villa Carolina.

Three bedrooms with inside access, pool (not huge) with great views and the house is set on a large piece of property so you can take walks if you want too. We stayed 2X and loved it.
