rebooking? am i crazy?
rebooking? am i crazy?
I am looking at the very possible reality that i will need to rebook my ticket--i would send Gord and the kids along and try to catch up (i am flying on miles--apparently that is more flexible??) I have a serious work deadline and am down by 50% of my staff and though I have worked pretty much every weekend for the past 5 weeks the work still isn't done. I have NEVER been in a situation like this--and it being high season-- what does anyone think the possibility of rebooking to get there before christmas is (i know, call the airline, but i am too depressed)will I even make it?
hopefully I will have a better tomorrow and things will move forward faster.

Deadlines and Re-Booking
Do you have any frequent Flyer miles stashed away?
I keep 50K of em stashed for the same reason. Most airlines will charge you the $100 booking fee and the miles can pay for the flight.
In a crunch, you can buy em online and compare the new flight with the cost of the re-booking..
I have booked flights a day or two before with miles.
Just a thought.

i sure as hell hope it doesn't come down to cancelling/rebooking--I would be devastated if i couldn't make it in time for christmas with my kids.mindehankins wrote:I hope you can make this happen, Loria! I've had to cancel or only partially participate in events that I really wanted to attend, because of work. It's disappointing for sure...
Good luck!
I am so stressed at this point--and i haven't even started christmas shopping. --chaos.

About 25 years ago someone stated to me "do you know why employer's give vacation"? "Just to prove to you that the company will still continue to operate whether you're there or not."
Employers come and go but your family is your family. If you were to miss Christmas with your family would you (and your family) regret it 5 years down the road?
Good luck with your decision.
