Lodging help needed in New Orleans

Post by Wakey »

I need to advise a Bed & breakfast type place in or near the quarter.

I can't ask family because I don't think I will have time for a visit

I've been to one near the Marriott I believe. Had two stories, 10 rooms max, wrapping around a private courtyard.

Can't remember the name, really could use some suggestions to look at.

Thanks!

Try the hotel provincial --it's not super upscale but it was very nice and has a charming courtyard--and it is QUIET--it's on Chartres (and bonus Stella! is next door!
< leaving on the 22nd of march...but too lame to figure out the ticker thing again!>

We stayed here ~ 7 years ago...modest and nice enough for us.

Check out The Frenchmen. Quaint, picturesque, walking distance to the French Market, and they had a nice continental breakfast buffet. I liked it there. :D

loria, that might be the place. It's been 30 years so perhaps they added that pool since then.

Thanks for the replies!
