who knows of a good cruise news site?

who knows of a good cruise news site?

Post by pipanale »

Not cruisecritic...been there.

My parents are booked for this coming Friday's cruise on NCL's Dawn, and a quick Google will show you that the ship is in San Juan getting repaired after a power failure. I can't find any good information on progress and/or updates.

anyone got any scoops or know of any sites with good insider information?

Thanks!

We have some good links here http://www.caribbean-on-line.com/cruise-lines/
The USAToday site is usually pretty good -
And we also pull the latest cruise headlines from Google -

Did you go to the ships roll call board for their week? It's not inside info, but many passengers are posting conversations with NCL. Sounds like no decision will be made until mid-week.

Here is one post -

"had someone call me back from NCL. They advised that if our cruise is cancelled we will get 100% back along with the 50% of your next cruise. He did also say that if we are worried we can call on Monday and have them switch ships and they will most likely waive any penalties due to the problems on the Dawn, however there will be no extra credit to make the move prior to them cancelling the cruise. He guessed that if it is to be cancelled they would not make that decision till right before the cruise. He said they hold out as long as possible. Naked VOODOO dance is in effect... The number they gave to call on monday if anyone wants: 1-866-625-1164"

Good luck to them!

What site are you finding that on? IF nothing else, I'm giggling to myself about my parents' ongoing travel misfortunes. There's a reason we never want to go away with them. They find oddities....more than even I do

this is the link to the roll call for their sailing but I think you have to be a member to view it.

Please tell me they never had a midget stripper's bodyguard chasing them down the hall! I don't think you can get more odd than that!

They've avoided that. their problems seem to be more mechanical in nature. The boat is all better now. I'm giving them a shopping list of things I need bought on Tortola.

Sunny Caribee is a great store in Roadtown with a lot of neat stuff you can check out on line.
