Wow! You are organized and came up with things I would have never thought of but are useful!

How is this all fitting into your bag?? Are your flying with 1 checked and 1 carry-on?

If so, perfect! If not, maybe you could nix some of the clothes??

Have a great trip! I can't wait to hear from you all after the vacation!

My suggestions:

Scrap two of the short sleeves shirts. After you wear the long sleeved ones, cut the sleeves off. Viola! Two more short sleeved shirts. Heck, for that matter, you can probably cross off the tanks too. A little scissor action coupled with rum and we can hook you up with some tanks. I know. I've seen Kellee do it.

Cut the undies in half. You'll have a bathing suit on half the time, right?

Leave the otter at home. Then you won't need the box.

Rain jacket? Hello....garbage bag+scissors+rum=rain jacket.

See how helpful I am.

Hey that's pretty good. The only thing I'd change is one long sleeve, and no sweatshirt.

Other than that, I'm proud of you. You still won't wear half of it, but you'll have choice and that's always a good thing. I change my clothes usually 4 times a day, just cause I can!!!!!

You know V-- come to think of it... why pack clothes? I can just roam around that big ole boat nekkid. This is a "clothing optional" adventure right? Think I can get through customs wearing nothing?

And with enough rum people will think I have a Victoria's Secret body... of course that will take an AWFUL LOT of rum

Hey Peasy -- this IS one of those fancy shmancy crusies where we have to wear aball gown every night to dinner and think dining with the Captain is a REALLYBIGDEAL. Or did I get the wrong memo?

Gromit,

If memory serves me correctly, you will have a birthday while on your sailing trip, right? So, your birthday suit is the perfect attire :)

Have a great time and I can't wait for the trip reports.

Walkie Talkies could come in handy, especially as we are going with a big group (wedding) next week.

What kind of range do you get on STJ with those puppies?

@ nancyB -- you are indeed correct! What a great memory you have!! I will be turning another year older on the 13th but probably not another year wiser

@crasherino on STJ it depends on where you are but we've gotten a good quarter mile to half mile in some cases. They come in real handy if you're in multiple jeeps. Or if one person is at the bottom of the Salt Pond Trail and someone is at the top and the person at the bottom forgot something. That can be a lifesaver not having to trudge up that hill again!!

They are also great for airports. That way you can split up and still communicate pretty well. It's just easier than using the cell phon ein some cases.

If you're going to take Vicki's advise, you'd better add scissors to the list.

Why not reduce the number of shirts/tops. You can always buy them on shore stops to bars if you feel you need them. You can even cut back on the toiletries. You never feel clean and fresh on a boat anyway--soon as the salt spray hits you, it's over. Less is more on a boat.

As my teenaged SD's would say. Too much information :-).

By the way, chuck the woolite, are you really going to do laundry, I think not!

Ok a little tweaking, there is a first aid kit on the boat. So you can ditch that. We also have free fins, masks and snorkle at the marina. I would bring your own mask and snorkle if it's a nice one and just use our fins. As for bathing suits, you need three, one to wear, one that you just rinsed out from the day before and have hanging on the rail to dry, and one as a backup in case the one on the rail blows away. As for T-Shirts you will be buying a bunch along the way so don't sweat bringing a bunch with you, also tank tops are usually purchased while drinking rum ashore as well. So there you have it, the standard answer is to bring half the stuff and twice the money.
By the way there is a nice tv and dvd player with bose surround in the cabin of the boat you are on, so a copy of Captain Ron is a must for all such voyages.
