New flip-flops

Post by seagrape »

Where is your favorite place on STJ to get good-walking flip-flops? No, not sandals. I kid you not - a red fox stole one of my favorite flip-flops right off my deck the other night! How do I know it was him...or her? The fox tripped the motion detector and we saw it. He's keeping company with the moose that are eating out of our compost. Ah, to live in Alaska.

So, about them flip-flops, any advice?

Thanks,
Seagrape

I can't recommend a place on St. John, but if you want to shop online, my favorite flip-flops come from Pure Juice! http://purejuice.com/index.html

Dear Sarah...er...Seagrape-
If you're on island now, try Hurricane Alley at Mongoose...if you're still in the States, the havianas website has flipflops that haven't failed me in 15 years of loyal patronage. BTW...We're HUGE fans of Sarah...just a lil levity...good luck!!!

Glad no one stole my flip-flops off your "other" deck

When Don blew out his flip flop on the way to Waterlemon a few years ago, we were able to find replacements at Big Planet. Low Key may also have something for you.

On my 1st trip to STJ, I blew through the only pair of flip-flops I took with me. Bought a pair of Havianas from some little store in behind St. John Spice (can't recall the name but they sold a little bit of jewellry and beach wear). At the time I thought they were pricey at $26 but now see that's the price of them everywhere.

Big Planet in Mongoose (upstairs for ladies) has a large selection.

Husband got a pair at the dive shop at Wharfside Village. I think the brand was Island Pro and he really likes them because the foot bed is contoured.

I am also a big fan of shopping on line (better prices usually). I am a HUGE fan of Eliza B flip flops. They last forever!
*Another fine scatterbrained production
