...until we get our a$$es firmly planted in the sand on STJ
We're both uber excited, I just got in touch with an old friend of mine who lives/works on STT and our gracious host on STJ is a dear family friend... looking forward to an amazing time!
Hows the weather now? the forecasts from weather sites show rainclouds of doom, but I'd rather have a first-hand account of what to expect from now thru the 21st.

Hot, hot, hot, although it is starting to get (thank goodness) a bit cooler at night but that just means you are warm and not sweltering
We have not had any rain in a long time just a passing 2 min shower.
Yesterday, after painting a ceiling, I decided to take a quick dip at Maho and on the drive saw that Maho was going to be basically under a huge dark grey/black cloud so I turned around and went to Haulover where there was perfect clear sky and sun - so don't worry you will find the sun somewhere on island

Claymani don't sweat the the weather to much it is what it is. Ya basically will never see less than a thirty percent chance of rain. That means 30 percent of the island will see rain. May only last 30 seconds but it rained. I've seen 60% while on Island and didn't get a drop and it was gorgeous out at least where we were for the day. Passing quik showers are the norm unless ya got some Big A$$ system coming threw. In our 6 trips there we've never had any problem with rain other than a quik shower when forecast were 30% to 60% showers. To put it in perspective our last half was 60% and we got this on this particular day.

I was amazed how nice the weather was this last week. Like Pia said, some passing showers, on land or in a boat. We took a day trip to the Baths with the B's, Nascar fan and wife, and CA Ruth and hubby (with Capt Frank and Sea More). Ran into just one dark cloud. What I like about this time of year is that the water is just right. The air can even be a little cool getting out. So that's a good reason to stay in, with friends, have a drink in one hand, and balance with the other!
