St. John Halloween Plans??

Post by szorba »

With Halloween quickly approaching I wanted to see what there was to do on St. John. We will be on the island during Halloween and were looking for some fun daytime and nightlife. Any suggestions?? Also should we bring costumes?

La Plancha del Mar and Happy Fish are having a party together. They are both on the second level of the Marketplace and they are going to use the mezzanine area, costume contest, DJ, should be fun!

The kiddos will be over at Mongoose for trick or treating if you want to see some cuties in costumes. I think that starts at 5pm or so.

We bring costumes and will be there! We like to hit the Tap Room and watch the kids do the Mongoose Junction thing. Then we head home and get the costumes on. There are going to be a good group of forumites at Skinny Legs. In past years we've enjoyed the costume contests at Morgan's Mango and then the Beach Bar. The La Plancha Happy Fish party sounds fun too.

some of the same answers all together:

"Hootin’ ‘n Hollerin’ planned for Halloween
Tricktreat Looks like this Halloween will be the biggest and nosiest ever on St. John. At least four parties are planned at restaurants.

Morgan’s Mango will start with Kids Halloween Specials at 5 p.m., with music by Luba lasting until 6:30 p.m,. Then from 10 p.m. to bewitching hour when Jumbies start floating through the island ether, Mark Wallace and (Tina Turner-influenced) Lauren Jones will entertain.

Just up the road at Mongoose Junction, Sun Dog Cafe’s kids' party begins at 4 p.m. Munchkins are encouraged to show up in costume. The good time lasts until 8 p.m.

The Beach Bar’s annual spooktacular is for grown ups, including music and a costume contest at 9 p.m.

The Marketplace will be the scene for a bash cosponsored by Happy Fish and La Plancha del Mar. Several bars will be pouring, a DJ will be spinning, and there will be plenty of pizza and finger foods. Big kids who can stay awake, and in costume, could win prizes in the Midnight Costume Contest."

Cruz Bay usually looks pretty glazed after the Beach Bar costume competition! A midnight costume party could be scary.

You don't need a lot of costume to have fun, but you'll have more fun if you have something. Here's our gang from two years ago and a link to a Skinny Legs gallery.

Its one of our favorite nights on STJ and a reason we keep coming back for this weekend.

The Tap Room is having a Party on Friday the 30th. Hit that and then Skinny's on Saturday the 31st is the only way to go.
