Trip Insurance question

Post by melmd »

I have never bought trip insurance before, but I will for this upcoming trip. I will buy from CSA and I am trying to figure out how much I need. Should I go with the regular plan or pay $100.00 more for the upgrade. I have no idea what medical care/medical transportation costs if one of us should become injured. Any ideas?

Thanks

I think if you click through the link you can read the difference in the coverage plans. I am pretty sure they mention the airlift coverage... maybe someone can chime in with a more detailed answer!

This is from the SkyMed website:

What is the cost of an air ambulance service?

USVI - San Juan: $6,000
USVI - Miami: $19,000
USVI - Boston: $28,000

We have MASA (Medical Air Services) for our medical air evacuation - a good idea when you live here but they also have "vacation" coverage should anyone be interested in adding this to their insurance needs.
