Remembering 9/11
A day burned in our hearts....
I spent a big part of my weekend watching the memories on the History channel. My friend in Singapore also remembers every minute of that fateful day!
9/11
Our Asst Pastor is the FBI chaplain for the NY district and spent the days after 9/11 at the site, standing in the rubble giving the last rites to the people as they were bought out.
Since then, he has lung problems and talks with a raspy voice and at times completely loses his ability to speak & breath unassisted for weeks.
We also lost a very young, good man from our church that day who worked there. And have many young people from church serving over in Iraq & Afghanistan.
It's impossible for us NYers to forget. Thank you w/ all our hearts to all service people & their families for the sacrifices they make to protect & defend this great country.
