Gonna be an interesting trip tomorrow!

Post by PSUWethr »

Tomorrow is my first trip to STJ with my daughter who has officially graduate from a lap child ( ). She just turned 2 so now she needs her own seat. I am putting her in her car seat on the airplane since she is smart enough to unhook the seatbelt on the plane and being in her terrible 2's isn't really into being told no. So, luckily we are travelling down with her grandparents, but coming home, it is just Emma and mommy. Hopefully, people take pity on us...plus I have packed really light! Can't wait for a few days of rest and relaxation. It has been a really tough year so far (12 funerals in 6 years and hubby's coworker just died last week from injuries in a plane crash...)I am hoping to unwind and just enjoy the scenery. This has all taught me to try and get the most out of each day, cause you never know what will happen.

Savor every moment...even the whiny ones! I hope everything goes super-smoothly :)

If you are preparing for the worst, it will probably go just fine.

Hope you have a fantastic trip!

Hope you have a very relaxing trip! I traveled a lot with my little one (now 8) and I used to buy a pack of foam ear plugs and take them on the plane. If he decided to pitch a fit, I would pass the ear plugs out to the people around us. Most people were very sympathetic and rarely would accept the ear plugs, but I think they really appreciated the gesture. I only had one occasion when I had to break them out...and he has traveled A LOT, so hopefully everything will be just fine. Have a safe (and sane) trip!
