How wonderful the nature is around your summerhouse. I would enjoy staying in such a place.
What about bathing?

I can see that your midsummer menu is very similar a Danish menu although our alcohol and beer have other names. But opposite you we eat herrings very often. We also sometimes like to have schnapps to the herrings.

Thank you Linne. I'm not sure, but I think one bottle contained Allborgs aquavit :D . Regarding the herring, that't true, because every day at the cantine in Copenhagen, there's a lot of those things to make own smörrebröd of. So I think you eat more herring than we do. But I like it, as long as there are no mayo in it (or mustard) which mean I mostly eat just pickled herring  . I know, I'm a picky eater.

Beautiful photos! It looks so peaceful on your lake.
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

Thanks! It's actually not a lake, it's the Baltic sea which is a large inland sea and it's connected or joined to the Atlantic. The water in the Baltic sea is brackish and not as salt as the Altlantic. And it's kind of murky, not very good visibility!

Karin, great pictures (as usual). You're very talented with your photos. Looks like a beautiful and peaceful place to spend a couple weeks off. (Each day that goes by brings us 1 day closer. See you soon!!) Ali~

Opps, sorry forgot that question

Well, it's absolutely possible to bath or swim, but sometimes it's really cold. A typical temperature in the summer is about 18C (65F) but we could expect temperatures between 15-23C (60-74F) depending on the wind and of course if it's sun or rain.

I just want to have warmer, so I seldom swim there, but lots of people including my family does. If it's in the higher end of the above, I might jump in.

Beautiful pics, Karin....My favorite is the one with the planking ending at the rocks edge with the water and reeds in the background. Very serene and beautiful!

Thanks Bev, I'm glad you liked that picture, because I was lying down on that little bridge/planking to get the "frog perspective" (if that's a English word  ).
