Help, I need a new (sailing) blog to follow!

Post by Wakey »

I'm up to date on all of them

I'll list them in order of quality.

Obviously I follow the Bongo boys but I skipped their construction blog mostly, having already finished Reef Madness and their construction challenges.

Easily the most exhaustive I've yet found (Thanks Pete)Not bad for a lawyer this Buddy fella. Must be because he's from S. Louisiana  http://www.indigomoon.us/

The Gringos post awesome pics and provide all that they have learned building a home in the Carib. He's also a DIYer, whats not to love? http://2gringos.blogspot.com/

Famous Potatoes told a nice story about how cruising help save their marriage. Right out of the gates he sailed his boat from the factory in South Africa to Florida. Has a precocious terrier like the Gringos. http://web.mac.com/famouspotatoes2/Famo ... urney.html

This couple cruised with 2 kids, great blog! http://4wheelersailing.blogspot.com/200 ... -post.html

Another good one that cruised with kids http://mapsjohnson.blogspot.com/search? ... -results=3

I almost forgot the first blog! Reef Madness. (I just put the link in the proper folder  )

I really enjoy the Gringo's blog. We visited Provo twice and really enjoyed it so I love seeing all his great pictures.

There are currently two young men making solo circumnaviations. Zac Sunderland and Mike Perham. Both have interesting, but very different blogs. Unfortunatley both are reaching the end of their voyages.

Look at this one.

Started in 2003 and they are still going.

I'm up to 2008 where they moved off the boat after the circumnavigation and now they are touring in a classic VW van.

Terribly naive about safety and in some cases logic in general but what a fun read! http://www.bumfuzzle.com/Pages/2003/2003_10.html
