The BEST day....

Post by LandLockedBeachLover »

Is one in which your ticker says "one day until VI". Which is why I am so giddy :D , so anxious to finish work today :x and wish people would quit piling on things for me before I go  !!

Bevm - The "dual cherry" pic will be on its way soon!

RickG - warm up the island for us!

Marriott STT - If you're readin', stock up on wine! 8)

Thanks to all of you for great answers and advice. Trying some "new" things this time - - Leinster trail to Waterlemon (hopefully I don't die of heat stroke), Cane Garden Bay in Tortola (taking ferry), Scott Beach at Caneel (due to Liamsaunt trip report & pics), Secret Harbor in STT, Maho (can't believe that's a first for me, but thanks to Flip-Flop's trip report & pics) AND ....Jumping from the Willie T ! :P

See ya!

Have an amazing trip (I know you will)! Happy 40th - welcome to the club :)

What boat charter is taking you to the Willie T?

Look forward to your trip report.

Nancy B - We are doing Palm Tree Charters so that we can set our own itinerary and spend as much time at the Baths, JVD and Willie T as we want! That's the highlight of our trip for sure.

My mommy told me if I can't say something nice, to not say anything at all.

VI's are VERY NICE! So I speak very loudly  !

I have NEVER thought of taking a ferry to Cane Garden Bay. What are the logistics of doing that and how much time do you have there? How expensive? It sounds like something a lot of us have never done.

I know you'll have a great time!!

We are staying on STT, so there are multiple ferry options from either CA or Red Hook leaving in the 8-9 am timeframe. They advertise a 50 min trip for around $25-$30 one way depending on the company you use. At any rate, we will ferry into Road Town. Apparently Cane Garden is not that far (couple miles) so we will take a taxi there. We are going on a Sat, so the Native Son ferry doesn't leave RT until 5:15 back to CA. Most other days of the week, a majority of ferries leave around 2. Figure that's plenty of time to "beach".

Here's the info on Cane Garden Bay:

Have a wonderful 40th on the islands! I did the same on my 40th sippin' painkillers on White Bay~ Ahhhh

I know you will have a blast, especially on Palm Tree Charters! We might just see some video from your captain. . .

If I recall from past years, you are a comical trip report writer so pack your journal & camera so you can document this "special birthday trip" to share with all your forumite friends!

If we see a big 40 written in the sand, we will know you have made it ~ Cheers to you!
I've got 2 tickets to paradise~Pack your bags we'll leave tonight!
