Packing system
Packing system
Maybe you all have heard of this packing system and I just fell off the cart, but this is way cool!
Conair space saving packing system. Available at Target. No vacuum needed...just pack, roll and go!
You can squeeze lots of clothes into an inch thick plastic bag. The rolling pushes all the air out, then just seal the bag. I recommend wrinkle free fabrics.

I follow the carry-on only rule about 99% of the time. Only checking a bag twice in the past 10yrs. These bags work great. I don't use them going on vacay, but on my way back home. It works well to throw all the dirty clothes in them. Then use all the extra space for all those goodies you buy to bring home.

I have been using something similar for about 5 years. My problem is that I use them on the way to my destination but never take the time to bag up my dirty clothes on the way home. This sometimes causes some really full bags headed home.lexi wrote:These bags work great. I don't use them going on vacay, but on my way back home. I use space saver bags and they really do let you fit more in your bag. I can't do carry on though. I pulled all our gear out last night to start to pack for Bermuda and the snorkel gear and camera equipment is a bag all of its own.
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.
The lazy girl in me learned to just leave one of those bags right next to my luggage so that I just toss the clothes in...no point in folding dirty clothes. That way I just roll it up on my last morning before checking out. Plus it's great to just toss the bag in the laundry room when I get home and leave it there til whenever I get around to doing the laundry.
