Help with book title, please

Here's what I know about the book. Historical/novel type genre. Takes place in Chicago around the time of the fair. Has a murder mystery aspect. Has the word "White" in the title?

Pete, Bill and I both liked that book. I started it because I like true crime stories, but ended up enjoying the history surrounding the Chicago World's Fair. It was very interesting and entertaining.
