Lion in Da Sun

Since there have been several posts recently regarding snorkel charters, I have to put in my two cents for Lion in Da Sun. We did a full day charter with these guys on June 19 and it was one of the best charters we've had in 9 trips to SJ. Our captain Jordan was amazing! He was fun, friendly, full of local information and a delight to spend the day with. We let him decide on our day, just letting him know we wanted to snorkel in the BVI's and visit the Baths for a quick drink at Mad Dog! We started with a snorkel at Waterlemon, went on to Tortola to check through customs, spent an hour on Virgin Gorda, headed to the Willy - T for lunch and continued to the Caves and the Indians. At each stop Jordan gave us history and information regarding what to expect on our snorkel. When I expressed a little fear regarding the snorkel at the Indians (I had a bad experience there a few years ago.) Jordan tied up the boat and got right in the water with me, pointing out fish and taking pictures. He never said he was looking out for me, but both my kids and I knew his intention was to make sure I felt safe and had a great time. Jordan and the guys at Lion In Da Sun are wonderful. We will see them next year.

Thanks for the post. My cousin and her crew are asking me for recommendations for their trip in August and I have no experience with anything other than the daysails. I am kind of leaning toward recommending these guys to them because everyone really seems to rave about them.

They are, indeed, an awesome team and give all their guests a fantastic day on the water! Highly recommended.

I'll chime in also to give my two thumbs up to Josh, Matt and Jordan. Great guys and great boats. Even in foul, rainy weather, we had an awesome day with Josh!

Nothing but HIGH praise for Lion in da Sun!!! Had a great trip with Josh a year ago. He let us plan the trip, while giving great suggestions.
