Thank you!!!
Thank you!!!
Hi, everyone! I just wanted to thank all of you for all your support last week. It seemed like every time I would get really down, I could come over to the computer and there would be another wonderful post from one of the forumites. It truly was a blessing! It is great to have this "family" to come to for support as my real family where I would normally go for support is all going through this with me.
After extensive testing last week, it appears that the cancer hasn't invaded any of Ann's major organs yet, which is a blessing. After a long discussion with her doctor in which Ann made it clear that she was not willing to give up without a major fight, they mapped out a treatment plan. Radiation of her skull was the first priority in order to try to keep the cancer from her brain. After that I think it's on to chemo. At this point they are just trying to extend her life as long as possible. But miracles do happen! I believe in them, and that's what I'm praying for every day.
As of now Ann is in constant pain and is having a very difficult time breathing. The pain medication makes her sleepy all the time. So that's pretty much what she has been doing. I don't get to talk to her much, as talking is difficult. I plan on going out there soon.
Thank you again, and God Bless you all!
Tell everyone you love that you love them TODAY because life is so short....

Hi Meg - Thank you for updating us. So sorry that your sister is in pain and I hope you will get to see her soon. I am sure that will be a big comfort to her. Good news that the cancer is not in her major organs and we'll keep praying that the treatment plan put in place will bring her comfort and healing.
Thinking of you.
Tracy
