Samuel cottages
Samuel cottages
We booked Samuel cottage #2 from July 16th to the 24th.It's hard to find pictures and info. on this place.I liked the reviews and gave the owners a call and set things up.I had to budget this year [we have 5 in our family}because we had visited last June.I promise that I will do a full review and post pictures when I get back from this trip.I think this will help others who might be interested in Samuel cottages.Best wishes,Parafins

No luck finding any interior pictures of the Cottages--those other travel sites just can't compare to virgin-islands-on-line!
I did find the official Samuel Cottage website (www.samuelcottages.com) which I hadn't seen before, but the only pictures they displayed were views of the building exterior. In my experience, that's a bad thing. Are they hiding something?
I'll keep looking...

Here is a review from 2005 but he listed his e-mail and said that he had interior pics. It might be worth a try.

We have stayed at Samuels Cottage and found it to be a great deal. The places are fairly rustic- sort of like northern Minnesota lake cabins. They are simply furnished. Nothing fancy here. They are clean and well kept. The people who run them are extremely nice and very helpful (he happens to be the "mayor" of St. John). The best reason to stay here is because you want a convenient location that is also very reasonable in cost. We figured that the money we saved staying here payed for our nightly meals at some very nice restraunts in Cruz Bay. If you want more details- feel free to e-mail me!

Samuel cottages
I picked Samuel cottages because Maho Bay Camps would not allow my family of 5 {Me the wife and our 3 children}to stay there.Too cramped I guess. The same for Cinnamon Bay.So familys of 5 are not common I guess.I think my wife will like Samuel cottages better because they have a kitchen and a air cond.bedroom. So he actually sent me three photos of Cottage 1 from March 2006. He also said "they're a good value, very clean but very basic."

Interior pictures..
Thanks for the interior pics.I know Samuels cottages is nothing like Gull cottage {we stayed there in 2000}But it sure beats my pop up camper!I myself could live out of a rental jeep, but the wife would'nt like that! Parafins.
HELLO FROM MICHIGAN...
My husband and I stayed in cottage 3 last June and will be staying there again in July. Our dates are July 9-23, so we will be neighbors the second week we are there. It is very basic but clean as someone as already written. The owner is very nice - she brought us clean towels and sheets midweek. I will be glad to answer any questions you might have about the cottages. We love St. John and are counting the days until we are there again!

Hello,neighbor!
Well hello to you Rhonda!
This is so cool to meet you before we go!We are the Benyi family from Edwardsburg,Mi.I do have one question;Do you babysit? o.k. I'm just kidding. We have three well behaved children.Ages are 11,9,and 4. I'm sure looking forward to meeting you and your husband/family.There is one question that I would like a answer for,Is there one t.v. or two?My wife likes to have one on when she goes to bed.For me I don't need a t.v.,phone,or radio.I'm on vacation and want to cut myself off from the world.Best wishes Parafins.....

HELLO FROM MICHIGAN...
Yes, it is cool to meet you before we go. We are from Ft. Worth, TX. We do babysit (our grandkids) but they are not coming with us (thank goodness). Just kidding. We do enjoy them. In cabin 3, there is a T.V. in the bedroom but the reception is not very good. My husband watched it some, but I like to read. We also like to sit on the front porch at night. However, the mosquito's seem to really like my husband... Do you snorkel? We love snorkeling St. John. We look forward to meeting you & your family.
