Ocean Potion Rocks for Sunburns

Post by nothintolose »

I was cleaning out my bathroom cabinet and found my bottle of Ocean Potion After Sun Moisturizing Aloe Lotion and thought I would share how awesome it is.

My back got badly burned on our day trip to the BVIs even though I had on strong sunblock...forgot to reapply after wearing a shirt that must've rubbed it off. One of our group had a bottle of Ocean Potion. I put it on that night and the next morning I was fine and you could barely tell I got a burn. I am fair skinned and this is not normal for me. Ever since, I swear by it.

Just thought I would share...hopefully no one will have a need for it.

I've never heard of it. Where do you buy it? I may need it for my daughter.

Do you get the "Ocean Potion Aloe Lotion 20.5 oz. Pump" ..

or the "Ocean Potion Aloe Vera Gel 20 oz."..

Looks like the latter is all aloe. Anyway, we'll be buying some once we know which :)

Sunburn is the reason that I know use rashguard shirts with u.v. protection.I just want to eliminate the chance of frying. I will keep this product in mind for the rest of my parts.Thanks...Parafins

I like the Ocean Potion ICE (the one with the lidocaine) - I try not to burn at all but this is THE stuff if I do. They also have a clear zinc oxide that is great for the nose and the tops of the ears. I get Ocean Potion at Wal-Mart.

I got some when I was in Myrtle Beach last month and I love it. It really helped with relieving the sting and also kept my skin moist enough to keep peeling to a minimum. I will definately use it again.

My wife uses the cream while on a sunny vacation and continues to use it for a few weeks afterwards. It holds her tan longer than using regular lotion....Or so she says!

I like it cause it smells good

I got the "Ocean Potion Aloe Lotion 20.5 oz. Pump" ...except mine doesn't have the pump. It has a cap like most sunblock bottles.

Parafins, I normally do wear rash guard but that day I forgot it and we were on a boat. I love the rash guard for the simple fact that it's less sunblock I have to apply.

This stuff works better than my aloe plants work.

I saw it today at Winn-Dixie (one of our grocery stores) but will be on the lookout for it other places and keep ya'll posted. When I run out, I may just order it on-line.

Does anyone carry this stuff on the island? We are taking only a carry-on so our liquids will be limited.
