Flip flop lights?

Post by Lulu76 »

OK, I have a question, and I figure if anyone knows the answer, it's all of you.

I saw in the Oriental Trading catalog that they had flip-flop lights that I could've put around my deck. However, I didn't order and now it's too late to get them in time for my birthday party this weekend, but I still want them.

So, does anyone here know of a store that might have such a thing? I'd settle for some palm trees or something else tropical, but I REALLY want flip flops.

Do you have a "Party City" store? Last summer they had a huge selection of tropical outdooor lights. Cheap too!

We DO have party city. They just built one by my house. I will check there. And for some reason I thought they had them at Big Lots when I bought my patio table there. I guess I will be shopping tonight!

Do you have World Market? Or maybe Target would have them?

Here are the options on line for World Market (no flip flops but they might have them in the store):

TArget has tropical fish on line (again store might have more options): http://www.target.com/gp/search/ref=sr_ ... g%20lights

If you can't find them at the party store or someplace like Target, it's not too late to order from Oriental Trading. You can get 2-day shipping on your order for a flat fee of $19.95. Overnight is $29.95. They have all kinds of flip flop stuff you could buy for your party.

I've had things overnighted from them before for office parties (in the old days, ha) and they are very reliable.

I know I could have it overnighted, but I am cheap. LOL. I will see if I can find something here. For some reason I am thinking that I didn't buy them online because I'd seen them somewhere here, so hopefully I will find them.

The weather I am not sure will cooperate this weekend anyhow, so I may just have to have everyone go to a restaurant instead!

It's not until next week, but I'm having the party this weekend because my best friend was supposed to come up from Atlanta. I think he is going to have to cancel, but we will still have a blast. I am making painkillers!

When I first saw this topic I thought, "Now who the heck would put lights on their flip-flops??" But then maybe that's not such a crazy idea. Might prevent some of those tripping accidents that happen after too many Painkillers...??

Oh, Bev, I do have light-up flip-flops and they are quite handy (except when you are trying to hide). The lights are built into the straps. I am the life of the party.

But I'd also like some lights for my deck. Big Lots was not helpful, although they did have a strand with grass skirts, palm trees and coconuts that might work in a pinch.
