I.S.O-3-4 bedroom North Shore villa rental?

Post by mahojim »

As you all know, My Sweet Amy & I are planning to marry on STJ this fall.
We thought we had a villa picked out, but we've changed our minds...
I think we're pretty much into a home on a North Shore beach, preferably w/a.c.
We're looking forward to being able to walk to/from the villa to beach for the ceremony, then enjoy the afternoon at our casual reception before a sunset sail.
Suggestions, testimonials?
Thanks, and always

North Shore

We were married at 2B Peter Bay in May 2000 but I think thats a bit more than you want. Back in the day, you could rent a villa like that for only a few days, and it was reasonable.
Without exaggeration, when 2B Peter Bay came into the rental market in 1997-98 the off-season price per week then was the same as the price per night now!!!
The Gibney Beach villas are the only place I can think of that meets your needs..It would be a very long walk down to the beach at Peter Bay from the gatehouse units...if you dont mind crossing the street you might look at Terrahawk across from Hawksnest
Would you consider a cabin at Cinnamon??? You wouldnt have to stay there the whole time, just maybe a day or two before and after the ceremony.

I've heard Terrahawk is great and has ac. I think full ac, but not sure. It looks like a great villa for the price and location. I know there are some beach front villas in Coral Bay, but if you want North Shore access, that won't work.

When is the BIG Day?

Stayed there, not working.
Thanks though.
I think we're going to stick with Sago Palms; it's not beachfront, but I think that's where we'll get the most bang for our buck.
Oh well, thanks anyway!
(We'll probably change out minds a billion more times anyway, so any ideas are welcome!
Thanks and always

If Sago Palms does not work out for you, you might look at Spellbound. The outdoor space and views are almost incomparable on St John.

See, truth is, I've stayed at both of them with X's, and Amy wouldn't dig it.
Spellbound was formerly Lyon's Pride, and you got that right, unbelievable views, and groovy location.
Thanks anyway!

My husband wouldn't go to the same island if I had been there with the X. You ARE a lucky man.

I've looked hard at Sago and it looks great for the price.

Hi Jim,

I can't think of any villa on the North Shore that you can easily walk to the beach from except those already mentioned. Well, maybe the Beach House on Peter Bay, but it's around $25K/week!

Sago Palms looks really nice. I love the pool and hot tub setup, and you'd be a close drive to the North Shore beaches.

When is your wedding date?

You might look at Le Chateau. Very romantic place for 2, the grounds would be wonderful for a reception, however, not on the beach. This will be our 5th trip to STJ and evertime we stay here, can't beat it! Views are breath-taking! Check out CateredTo.com for pics and details.
Congrats to you both!

Jim and Amy,

I am so happy for both of you. How exciting! I really can not offer much for you because we too were looking for a villa with similar requirements. We settled on Sunnyledge which overlooks Francis Bay. There is walking access but it would be a longer walk and maybe not ideal when dressed in wedding attire. It does have AC but doesn't have a pool.

Best of luck. I am certain that whatever you decide your day will be a very special one regardless of where you stay. Blessings to both of you!

Can't do Chateau either. We're looking to wed Thursday 11/12. That's our target date.
