Jim,
Have just been skimming the forum lately and just clued in and saw this. So sorry about what happened. I couldn't figure out how to find the story, maybe the link is bad now (or I am dumb). But regardless, whatever happened sounds awful.
Hang in there. There is nothing wrong with letting out your feelings. You can't fake everything is ok if it isn't.
Hopefully it will get better soon and take comfort you have your sweet Amy.

"Sponges grow in the ocean...I wonder how much deeper it would be if that didn't happen."
Ruth, Loria, & all,
Paul has been stable, but still in critical condition.
He went in for more surgery today, and I'll definately keep you updated.
When I was with him yesterday, I showed his wife Kathy your posts, and she was floored that so many of you have sent your prayers & best wishes.
She kept saying,"Look at them all...these people are from everywhere...!"
Needless to say, on her behalf, thank you, thank you, thank you...

I simply cannot imagine what your SIL is going thru--what all of you are going thru--but it sounds like some small forward progress is being made--and these small incremental steps are important--I am sure that if he is anything at all like you, his spirit will carry him through this ordeal. thanks for the update.
< leaving on the 22nd of march...but too lame to figure out the ticker thing again!>

Hi Jim - Just got online and saw this thread. I am so sorry to hear about your brother and I too, would like to add my prayers and thoughts for his recovery and for strength for you and your family. As others have said, any "complaining" you may have done is openly accepted here. We are a family.
My best,
Tracy

Yes, everyone,
It'll be a long road for his 50 year old butt, and I can't do/say enough about how wonderful you all have been.
He'll be ok...mbw1024- YES!-"Long road" puts it lightly.
Who do I thank for having me land on STJ years ago, digging my feet in the sand, warm sun on my face, Maho trees in the wind that fill the breeze, and kind folks everywhere...?
Most of us have never met oneanother personally, but your well wishes from where our collective hearts live has brought me & my family strength from around the globe.
St. John has healing powers in more ways than imaginable, and thank goodness, with your help, I've stopped crying.
Since my first visit to STJ, I've learned to bring so much home with me;
Patience
Appreciation
Understanding
Love
Relaxation
Simplicity
Acceptance
Kindness
RUM
And more of the above, over and over...
I can't thank you all enough for your best wishes for my family, and you are all in our prayers, as well.
Hopefully, Paul will get to experience heaven on St. John, and witness My Sweet Amy share nuptials with his little bro.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
