Deb and I have been renting a house with a pool on STT for the last year. It is only about 5000 gallons, not a large pool. From a maitenance stand point you will have to have someone work on it at least once a week to keep it rental ready. It will need vacumed, strainers cleaned cemicals checked etc weekly. If I owned the house we are living in, and given what WAPA costs, I would buy a solar powered pump system. It costs about $75 a month to run the pump and that is set on a timer that only runs 2.5 hours a day. You will likely have to run it more under any heavy use by renters. I also prefer the salt water system my boss has it on his pool and it is very nice. So the plus is that it looks like from this very informal poll that alot of people want one to rent a villa. You already know the minus, more capital, more maitenance, and higher fixed costs for running the Villa. From a business standpoint I would have to look at your current bookings and decide if you need it to keep up with the market. As you are fully aware now it may be a case of in for a penny in for pound as in an ever more competitive market you have to do what you can to attract customers.
PS By the way we hate the pool and will likely never live in a house with one again. It is way to much work and beleive it or not when you live here it is to cold to get in it about 6 months out of the year.
