I have just had multiple problems with Atlanta connections. Usually weather related, which you can't 100% blame on Atlanta but still I just hate connecting there. Its got bad mojo for me.

Plus, its huge and inevitably I go in on a tiny commuter plane and have to go from one terminal to another to catch the big plane. Layovers are also either typically very tight or too long - like 3 hours +.

Mostly I like going out of DCA because its 30 minutes from my house instead of a good hour to Dulles or almost 2 to Baltimore.

That said, my miles are with Delta which means I am usually flying IAD-ATL-STT. It is just what usually comes up.

Just like you mentioned, we have a very tiny layover at Atlanta, gulp, and once missed a connection there due to storms, gulp. We are just going to have to do a mojo makeover on the place! :D

Thanks for posting this. Our July flight also moved to 7a and didn't get any notification...

I think there might be a certain number of days out that they trigger the email (if they have your email on file). I got the notice on Monday for those of us flying out on the 19th. My mama is joining us on the 24th and hers came several days later.
