Siempre Azul Villa and Fishing

Post by jdubb »

Hi everyone! This is my first post on this forum :D I am traveling to St. John in March to get married and for part of the time we are staying in the Siempre Azul villa - does anyone know anything about it?

Also, my (future) husband wants to go deep sea fishing. Any recommendations?

Thanks for your help! We can't wait to get there!! Julie

I don't know about either of your questions, but click on either St.John or St.Thomas at the top of this page, then look for a "things to do" link. There is a listing for a charter fishing boat there. That's a start.

First, congratulations! :D

I have not stayed at Siempre Azul. There are all kinds of reviews on it if you google it. I just wanted to say that you will be on Friis Bay, which means you are near Miss Lucy's restaurant, which you should definitely try. Sit outside by the water and enjoy some really tasty food. She hosts a popular full moon party if you are on island then.

Have you been to St. John before?

We had Siempre Azule on our list of possible villas for our stay (also in March), but it was booked before we were able to decide. It looks beautiful. We were looking for something small and romantic for our 10th anniversary trip. I hope you enjoy it. Let us know how you like it. Congratulations by the way!

:D I really appreciate the help and suggestions! This forum has helped me so much. I have a list going of places to visit and things to try and will will definetly put Miss Lucy's on it! We are also staying in Villa Windchime for a week and the review of that under villa reviews was great.

We have never been to St. John before. We live in Alaska so it is a far way to travel but I am sure it will be worth it! In Alaska we usually sneak over to Hawaii for vacation because it is pretty close for us.

Thanks also for the suggestion of the Double Header - my fiance will be very grateful

Hey jdubb. Anchorage girl. Meet Big Lake couple. It's nice to finally hear someone from Alaska on this forum. Congratulations on your upcoming marriage. We go to STJ every year. This year we are starting excavation for our cottage in Coral Bay. You are going to love it there. The seas are much calmer than Hawaii, and the people are much more friendly. We have stayed near Siempre Azul and are very familiar with the island. Let us know if you have any questions. Are you taking Alaska Air to Miami? Look forward to hearing from an Alaskan!

Hi Seagrape - I did get your message and tried to send you a private message but probably didn't get through - I am still new at this  We are flying Continental straight through to New Jersey and then direct to STT. We got a good deal this summer through expedia - around $600 pp. Our family is all flying Alaska Air through Miami - they had air miles! We are leaving in 10 days...I can't wait!!!! It has been so cold here this past week!!

Any great tips/beaches/activites would be much appreciated! :D
