Lot of questions for first time St. Thomas vacationer! :)
We are going the third week of March. Missed ya by one!
I have heard that St. John is great, and I look forward to seeing it also. My oldest son's best friend from high school got married there, and he has an uncle who is an artist/designer that lives there.
Our timeshare was just a short term one and did not include St. John as one of the choices.

Got the bug spray packed. Thanks for the advice about the water.
I just called Verizon to see if our phones will work down there, and what if any additional charges may occur. STT has a CDMA network, so that was good, but $1.99 a minute is pretty steep. He suggested a prepaid phone card might have better rates. Anyone have any experience in that? Would I get it here before I leave or down there? If it doesn't matter, getting it up here would probably be a lot easier. He also mentioned adding a free International calling capability on our phones on the Verizon website which I will do before we leave. Really only planning on checking in at home by phone a couple of times most likely.
