I agree but it is loooong and appears to be easier at certain times of the year - it was Mothers Day last year the last time I did that and it took almost 4 hours :)
I would say to do that you need to be able to do the BB without any problems as there are certain parts that you need to do quite a bit of a rock scramble (over quite high rocks - 12'+)

We did it in June and had no mosquitos. I think the mosquitos factor is more related to the rain fall then the season, but maybe both.

Yes the mosquito population is linked to how much rain we have had. Once we have a heavy rain you can expect the mosquitos to be out in full force 7-10 days later.

Right now no problem on the trail.
