Buying groceries on a Sunday?
Buying groceries on a Sunday?
We arrive in STJ on a Sunday afternoon, and would like to do some grocery shopping before heading to our accommodation in Coral Bay. Or even better, go shopping after unloading our baggage. Is there a grocery store or food market in Coral Bay that are open on a Sunday afternoon?
OK. I thought that it would be a larger or cheaper market in Cruz Bay, but for the first night we are probably going to be fine with the market in Coral bay. I guess we would take our first whole day to look around the island anyway.
Two months to go, and I am really looking forward to this trip now.
Thanks for the help!

Sorry, I didn't mean that we should be going to every place in one day. I just meant that we would like to look around a bit on the first day, and probably will end up in Cruz Bay anyway, so shopping for groceries will probably be suitable.
It's our first time in St John, but we have been to BVI twice before and certainly know about island time. No stress here, promise! We nomally take it slow, plan a few things in advance, like a daytrip or so, and the rest we have open to decide when we arrive.
I know, since English is not my native language, it's sometimes hard to express yourself correct in writing. But you've got to try

I hope you didn't think I was coming down on you not my intent just saw you were a first timer and alot of people see the size of STJ and think they can see everything I've been there 8 times now and there are still places I haven't been that are on my to do list. Sorry for the confusion and your english is better then mine.

That was a nice thing to say - but I don't think for a minute that it's true.
No offence taken - how could you know? We have also experienced island time in the South pacific and Asia, so the first thing you do when you arrive, is to take off your shoes and watch and then relax.
I have studied the map of St John thoroughly and I can see that it will take a while to get from one place to antoher. It also makes me certain that we have to make priorities, about where to go. The island looks absolutly beautiful and since we love Virgin Gorda, I am pretty sure we will love St John as well.
