Two hopefully not creepy questions
Ok, just for fun I've got two questions and I'll be brave (dumb?) enough to start! And yes, I'm killing time before our upcoming trip and the wait is killing me!
1. Who is most like you on the forum? By most like you, I mean your vacation style but it could be anything as long as you explain.
2. Who is your forum ONLY crush?
For #1: I think I'm most like liamsaunt with a bit of crisn thrown in. Remember crisn's trip report where they crashed into some reef with their dinghy and then used a rock to pound out the bent propeller? Yep, we like to hike, snorkel, eat and drink well (like liamsaunt..hello..loved your tr's) BUT we're clutzier and always have some crazy mishap or adventure.
And for #2: I am crushing on the guy who bet his wife about a week on STJ for $500 or less and stayed at a Cinnamon Bay bare camp site. You've gotta love a man who makes travel a priority even when the budget is saying NO. Ok, any one else? Please? Bikini, snorkel gear, three outfits, and flipflops are already in the backpack and I still have four weeks to wait. HELP!

#1) That is a hard question. I think in terms of vacation style, Marybeth would be a perfect vacation buddy. We both like to explore, but only so much and relaxation, cocktails, and good food are high on our list.
Most like me? I would have to say Ruth, but I knew that before the forum!
#2) Let me first say that I have no "crushes" on anyone on the board, but I would love to be able to travel like Linne. She has such a great outlook on travel and her stories are wonderful to read. I get the feeling that she really lives every moment to the fullest.

1. Who is most like you on the forum?
Flip Flop. I am certain we were separated at birth....um...and I was a few years premature.
I am also going to have to say I think alw1977 and I have more in common than not. Based on these vacation photos, I am not entirely convinced we are not, in fact, the same person. Apparently, Caribbean water and palm trees make us behave in the same bizarre fashion. It makes both of us:
Pass out on palm trees.

Hang from branches like madwomen.

And Jump. Badly.

Sorry, girl. The frightening reality is that you are just like me. I recommend therapy. Quickly.

Hmmm.....I have one, but it's a secret.

1) This is a hard question for me because there are so many people that I find little similarities with. I can get along with almost anyone and I love to meet new people.
2) Crush? I have two answers:
Ron. I love him and if Ruth didn't already have him, I would scoop him up in a minute. (No, Ruth ~ I won't take him
)
Mr. Bug. We've been crushing on each other since we were 15 (minus a few years here and there). We're not teenagers anymore and we're still crushing. It's awesome
XOXO

If I am giving jmq an underwater photography lesson, he has to trade for a beach photography lesson!
Oh, and noworries Mom, I can give you a run for the money in the clutzy department. On various St. John trips, I have done the following:
1. walked straight into a plate glass door
2. fell down a flight of stairs, losing one of my shoes in the process
3. sliced my finger open while making dinner
4. did a handstand in the pool, lost my balance, toppled over, and slammed my legs into the side of the pool wall, which resulted in long scrapes down both of my calves.
There are more, but I have blocked them out.
Maybe this is why we've never rented a dinghy.

It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.
Who is most like you on the forum?
Most like me...I seldom speak but lurk constantly...anyone like me?
I am a lot like Susan (Susan&Herb)...we are about the same age, share a passion for stays at Villa Carolina and are definitely not techno geeks.
I feel connection to ...
Flip Flop...I am very familiar with the town where her mother lives
Jorge...seven years of living in Blacksburg (before Jorge I'm pretty sure)
Captainjay and Deb...I'm a West Virginia native and still have a home there
Forum members in MA...four years of lovin' Boston
All the animal lovers here...
Who is your forum ONLY crush?
Joshie...intrigued by the mystery
All those who share their photos and trip reports of the wonders of St John with me
