Amazing how "warm" 40 degrees feels
Amazing how "warm" 40 degrees feels
That pretty much sums it up. January was brutal cold and lots of snow here in Michigan. The snow is melting, yay
. I'm sure we will get more, but for now, I am enjoying this February thaw. We are supposed to see 50 degrees this week! I actaully cracked a couple of windows to let some fresh air in today
.

Going "home" again October 26th!
We've been spoiled here. It was 65-70 all of last week. Next week will more than likely be in the 40-50 range. Mountains are getting all the snow, as it should be. Husband ran the sprinkler twice last week. He never drains it totally as it never freezes below 1 inch here.
Tulip leaves are poking their young heads out of the ground.
Spring is on the way!

Waterguy,
So plumbers and water extractors have a secure job in your area? That is a good thing! Job security is good right now.
I imagine that in the spring, sprinkler folks will have job security with broken heads, etc.
This is a the stimulus plan that we need to let nature take care of.
Vehicles will need front end alignments from the frozen ruts.
Folks will hopefully beef up their furnaces for next year.
Fun to dream, isn't it?

About 40 or so here today I rolled down the windows driving threw town. Lots of people without coats. Went out in the garage and swept all the gravel out from the salt trucks in a teeshirt. Even seen a few hillbillies in shorts
Now if that was fall going into winter we would be bundled up and complaining it's freezing out

It was 73 here in Yorktown yesterday. I took my Mom into Colonial Williamsburg along with everyone else! What fun to be outside and see people and kids and dogs.
Hey, BUG have you ever travelled to Williamsburg on your bikes? The Colonial Parkway is a beautiful ride on a bike, must have seen at least 100 out there yesterday.
Wasn't it a treat for most of us to get a break yesterday!

We have not - YET!! This is a ride we have talked about doing quite a few times. Hopefully we will get to do it this year. We plan on spending a lot more time on the bikes this summer since our youngest can finally ride along

XOXO
