Traveling Bob here. Frequest visitor to Caribbean, particulary US Virgin Islands so I know the real story. Be careful on St. Thomas, St. Croix and now--believe it or not, St. John. The rapes the robberies, the reduction in tourism by over 30%, the economic crisis in islands has created a rather unpleasant environment for crime. St. John is a mess. Over developed, overpriced with tatoo parlors, gambling clubs, flagrant street drugs....and a few murders last 3 years....villa robberies skyrocketing too. If on st john--go to a well protected location and stay put after10PM.

Interesting. I read the whole post. Traveling Bob is a real ray of sunshine, isn't he!

You know, all those tattoo parlors and gambling clubs on St. John are a real turn-off for me too!

St. Lucia hopes to resume hangings amid crime wave

ASSOCIATED PRESS

CASTRIES, St. Lucia -- St. Lucia's government says it hopes to resume hangings as a deterrent to rising murder rates.

Prime Minister Stephenson King said Wednesday the Caribbean island needs to deal swiftly with those who have exhausted their appeals.

He did not give specific proposals, but his national security minister said last week that cases should be heard more quickly and judges should set execution dates.

St. Lucia law limits time on death row to five years. Convicts whose appeals last longer are given life sentences.

Caribbean countries such as Jamaica and St. Kitts have recently embraced capital punishment amid rising crime.

St. Lucia reported 38 killings last year, 13 more than in 2007. Its last hanging was in 1995.

He's obviously a troll..

This is the 2nd time I've posted this kind of thing, last time it was a Puerto Rico fanboy. (3 days ago a woman from Georgia.. wait, here is the story in case you don't want to be sickened, you don't have to click the link :-( )

http://www.ajc.com/metro/content/metro/ ... slain.html

Anyway, I have a news feeder that spits out stories with subjects that I choose and USVI is one of them. I get these articles seemingly fresh off the press and these trolling comments are already there.

Money is tight and these different areas obviously have trolling agents shitting on the competition.

Most people call this organization the Chamber Of Commerce but....
